”We gotta dig him up”

I read this book called Secrets In The Shadows by Anne Schraff. This book is a realistic fiction book because majority of the events that happen in the book couldn’t occur in real life. This book is about a 16 year old boy named Roylin Bailey, he has a okay job as a waiter at Golden Corral. Roylin meets this girl korie from school, he tries to impress her. Turns out in the process of impressing her he made a terrible mistake that will haunt him for the rest of his life. My favorite part of the book was ending because it made Roylin realize one little mistake he made could turn in to a domino effect, that could cause way bigger problems that could ruin the rest of people lives. I feel like the main idea in this book is don’t try to be someone your not. The reason I say that is because the mistake Roylin made is because he was trying to impress Korie. He wanted to make it seem like he had a perfect life, he made a lot of money when in reality he didn’t have a perfect life at all. I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries that don’t take a long time to read. There’s I believe 21 books in the series and the good thing about it is you don’t have to read them in order, plus you don’t get bored of them because each book is a different story but takes place in the same high school.
